His instructional methods began to be developed as a junior player under the instruction of three-time Wimbledon champion, the legendary Maureen Connolly (Little Mo) and Wimbledon doubles champion, Les Stoefen. Connelly and Stoefen taught Barth the key foundation points on every stroke that are timeless and used by all of today’s great players. In college, Barth was coached at UCLA by collegiate hall of fame coach, Glenn Basset, who raised his playing level allowing him to transition onto the international professional men’s tennis tour. On the professional level, for seven years he played some of the top players in the world on the ATP International Pro Tennis Tour including Bjong Borg, Vitas Gerulaitis, Stan Smith, Arthur Ashe, Ilie Nastase and Rosco Tanner. Those years plus over forty years of teaching at Kiawah Island Golf Resort has allowed Barth to narrow down the Key Foundation Points on every stroke that are timeless and used by all great players.
